The Q&A Archives: Bird of Paradise Plant

Question: I have the above plant in a white and it is about 5 years old. It is huge in shape but it has never bloomed. What can I do to get it to give me flowers.

Answer: Some plants are just more reluctant to bloom than others. As long as it is in full sunshine and you do not feed it, it will eventually bloom. Mine took about 5 years and while it grew like crazy, it simply wasn't mature enough to bloom prior to that. There's not much you can do to force it to bloom. Sorry!
