The Q&A Archives: Annuals For Full Sun

Question: Which plants will do best in direct sun 6 to 7 hours a day?

Answer: Some of the most popular annuals do beautifully in direct sun. Marigolds, zinnias, petunias, cosmos, cleome (spider flower), sunflower, salvia and snapdragons are all worth a try. Remember that plants in full sun will need to be watered, when nature doesn't provide. Also, a rich soil and thick mulch will help conserve moisture.
