Soils in the southwest desert are alkaline and yellowing leaves or poor growth can usually be helped with applications of Iron Sulphate. Apply in amounts as recommended on the label, which varies depending upon size of the plant. Citrus trees do need to be fed 3 times a year. Use a Citrus Food formula, in amounts and with the frequency as recommended on the package. Best wishes with your landscape!
