The Q&A Archives: Starting Creeping Phlox from Seed

Question: Can creeping phlox be started from seed? Where can I get seed?

Answer: If you can start them from seed it must be very hard because I can't find the seed anywhere! I did find a site with a few compact varieties, but no "subulata" or "stolonifera" which is what you are looking for. Here is the web address just in case you are interested:

Meanwhile, Burpee does offer plants, you can contact them at 1-800-888-1447. You can save your own seed for replanting if you want, but letting them spread on their own, or propagating from division is much quicker.
