I didn't protect it from the cold and now it looks dead. Will it come back? How do i protect it in the winter? Thank you

There are both tropical and hardy hibiscus plants. Usually the tree form is a tropical hibiscus and it cannot tolerate freezing weather. If you replace yours, plan on taking it indoors over the winter months to protect it from cold weather. Or, consider it an annual and plan on replacing it every spring.
