The Q&A Archives: Fiddle leaf fig

Question: Have it inside the house - the leaves all seem to be burning, &/or turning brown. Have not fertilized the plant. Gets some light.

Answer: If the margins of the leaves are turning brown, low humidity or overwatering can be the cause. If you are running air conditioning, it can dry the air out and cause the leaves to look crispy - if your water has chlorine or fluoride, that might cause the browning leaf tips as well. Try using distilled or bottled water and make an effort to increase humidity. Good luck with your plant!
