Nitrogen is very important for healthy blueberries, so an annual application of cottonseed meal, dried manure, or a blended high-nitrogen organic fertilizer should be placed under the mulch of each plant. Use 1/2 to 1 pound per plant, depending on the size of the plant and how well it is growing. Or you can apply an acidified fertilizer such as Miracid, in amounts as recommended on the label. Either approach will give your plants a boost.
