Hi, We have a great many hostas, the green/white striped, all green, and a few yellow/green. Something seems to be eating holes in the leaves. We had tried snail killer, but that didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks !!

Just about the only thing than munches holes in hosta leaves are slugs and snails. They feed at night or very early in the morning so you might catch them in the act if you go out at night with a flashlight. They also leave a shiny trail behind. If you find any, use one of the iron based controls. Sluggo works well and any bait that is not consumed breaks down and adds iron to the soil. Give it a try!
