I have an unscreened pool with pavers around it and planting beds around the pavers with palms, shrubs, prenuals.
What should I put on top of the beds? Either stones or mulch?
Please give advise?

Thank You

Stones absorb and radiate a lot of heat; bark chips do not. You can use either material but since you already have pavers in place, I'd use bark chips or other organic matter as a mulch, just to add interest to the garden and to help keep the roots of the plants a little cooler. It's a personal choice, though. Use whatever material is most attractive in the landscape.
