The Q&A Archives: Trees

Question: Do you have a spray for ornamental crab apple trees?

Answer: There are a number of sprays registered for use on crab apple trees. The most commonly used is dormant oil, which protects crab apples from insect pests. It is sprayed during the dormant season, before the trees leaf out. Another is lime sulfur which prevents diseases. You didn't specify whether your tree has insect or disease problems so I don't know which to recommend.
