The Q&A Archives: zonal geraniums

Question: after the flower blooms and the flowers die do i remove all the dead flowers or do i cut the entire branch off the plant

Answer: You can snap the dead flowers off, plus a little of the stem. Wherever you cut or snap a stem on a geranium it will develop new leaves and one or two new stems. If you keep the dead flowers cut or snapped off, your plant will produce lots of new flowers all summer long.
