| Your shrubs must be offering some nectar or the hornets and wasps wouldn't be very interested in them. Setting traps some distance away from the shrubs might lure them away. You might try hosing your shrubs down with water in the early morning to see if you can rinse off any nectar that might be attracting them. If that doesn't discourage them, you might try pruning your shrubs back to remove any flowers they have on them. Wait until dusk to do this - when the wasps and hornets have gone home to nest. Wish there were alternatives! |
