1) We have a 3' chainlink fence (zones 8-11).We would like an evergreen flowering vine. It would be located in direct sunlight. We're considering: Violet Trumpet, Star Jasmine, Carolina Jasmine, Potato Vine, or Climbing Rose. 2)What could be paired w/ Agapanthus as an accent plant, fan palm? What else? Are there fan palms that grow about 4' tall & wide? If not, any way to stunt their growth? Thanks

Dainty Lady Palm (Guihaia argyrata) grows about 4' tall and wide; Mexican Dwarf Blue Palm is a very slow growing palm and reaches about 6' at maturity; Mediterranean Fan Palm (Chamaerops humilis) grows to about 10 feet. There is no way to keep a palm from growing to its mature height so choose either the Lady palm or the Mexican Dwarf Blue for your garden. As for the vine, since your agapanthus produces bluish flowers, a white flowering vine will really set it off. I'd go with either star jasmine or a white flowering climbing rose. Enjoy your garden!
