The Q&A Archives: Roses for Hedges

Question: I am interested in roses sold for hedges. I especially want ones that produce lots of hips for the birds. Any suggestions?

Answer: Varieties classified as "shrub roses" roses make good hedges; look for varieties described as having lots of hips. Or, consider rugosa roses, which generally have large and abundant hips.
