| Your new trees won't need to be fed this year. In fact, feeding them right after transplanting can redirect the new growth from establishing roots to putting on top growth. I'd plant them now and water them each week to encourage good root establishment and then feed them next spring just as new growth begins. Use an 8-8-8 or a 10-10-10 in amounts as recommended on the fertilizer label (which varies depending upon size of tree). Enjoy your landscape! |
