I just bought a new house and would like to take allll my plants with me...bulbs, heather, violets, poppies, baby rose bush and a silver moon fern (I thinks that's what it's called) How whens the best time of year to take these plants and trans plant them? |
Spring is an excellent time to dig and transplant the plants you mention. Bulbs do best if the foliage is allowed to ripen before they are dug and moved so if yours still have green leaves, it might be best to leave them and buy new ones for planting in the fall. Try to keep the roots from drying out during the transport from one landscape to the other. Good luck with the move. |
