The Q&A Archives: moldy soil

Question: my indoor plants have moldy soil. Does the complete soil need to be changed? Or is there something I can add to the soil to counteract the mold.

Answer: You may be keeping the soil too moist, or the air circulation is poor around your houseplants. You can simply scrape the mold off with a spoon, then put a fresh layer of potting soil on top.
