When wild grass is killed with a chemical how long does it take before you can plant a ground cover?

It depends upon the chemical. The waiting period should be listed on the label. If you used a vegetation killer such as Round Up, you can plant in about a week. Round Up is translocated to the roots of the targeted plant but does not move into the soil. If you used another product, read the label for waiting times. Best wishes with your groundcover.
