| Without regular feeding, watering and mowing, I'm not sure you can get your lawn back on track so it grows lush and green. Incorporating organic matter into the soil will help it hold moisture and nutrients. I'd plan on an entire makeover, starting with a small area and working out from there. Begin by rototilling the area, spreading compost or age manure over the proposed planting area and tilling it in. Then level and seed the lawn and keep it watered until it is well established. Then move on to the next area and repeat the process. Since you can't water a large area, plant only the amount of lawn that you can adequately care for and allow the rest of the property to go natural.
