The Q&A Archives: How to save strawberry plants

Question: I bought strawberry plants (just the roots) and planted them on baskets. Ever since I planted them , its been raining for more than a week and I am concerned that I will oose them due to so much water. What can I do?

Carmen Sosa

Answer: Since they are in baskets, the soil should drain extremely well and they should suffer less damage than if they were planted in the ground where the full impact of the rain could keep the soil saturated for week. I think your plants will recover. Let's just hope it stops raining soon!
