Succulents of all kinds, portulaca, yarrow, wormwood, false indigo, salvia, lavender, and gaillardia will all grow in sandy soils. Or, you can amend your planting beds with copious amounts of organic matter to help it hold moisture and nutrients. If you do this, you can grow most any heat tolerant annual or perennial. Good luck with your garden!
