Coffee grounds are a good organic source of nitrogen. And, yes, they can be spread around all plants. They decompose slowly, adding a steady supply of nitrogen and are unlikely to burn plant roots. It's also a good way to reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfills. You can also put them in a compost pile.
