Just found a bag of onions (white?) in the garage I bought from a local farm. They have green leaf like things coming up. Can I plant these to grow onions? Michigan
Thanks

Grocery store onions are generally treated with a chemical to retard sprouting. Since yours are sprouting, it won't hurt to plant them in the garden, and they may develop greens for you to eat and might even increase the bulb size. I think it would be fun to try, so go ahead and plant them. Good luck with your onions.
