The Q&A Archives: Orange trees

Question: what ground over r eannual flowers will grow under orange trees?everything I have planted even grass has died.

Answer: As you've discovered, it is hard to get plants to grow under evergreen trees. This is because the soil beneath them is dry and usually shady. You can try a groundcover such as ajuga, vinca or even dichondra. Or look in your garden center for other shade tolerant, dry soil tolerant plants. Good luck with your garden.
