The Q&A Archives: bug on tomatoes

Question: There are orange and black, ant like bugs on my tomato plants. What are they and how do I get rid of them?

Answer: If they are orange and black and kind of alligator shaped, they are ladybug larvae. Don't harm them and they will turn into ladybugs who will feast on any aphids on your plants. Give them another week or two to mature and they will fly away on their own.
