Tall fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and fine fescues?such as creeping red, chewings, and hard?are cool-season perennial grasses used for lawns, in North Carolina. Bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, centipedegrass, St. Augustinegrass,
carpetgrass, and bahiagrass are classified as warm-season perennial grasses. I think your centipede is a good warm season grass for your region.
