My everbearing strawberries are ripening unevenly in our dry weather and I'm wondering how to prolong and improve the crop.

The most important thing you can do for your strawberry crop is to keep the plants well watered. Lack of moisture could be causing the uneven ripening of your fruits, so keep the top 2 inches of soil evenly moist throughout the growing season. If your plants aren't mulched, spread straw or cocoa hull mulch or another mulch around the plants to help keep the soil from drying out. Good luck with your crop!
