Nandinas are quite lovely shrubs that will grow well in sun or light shade in any fairly good soil. They do not like to have dry feet, however, so keep the soil well mulched and water when nature doesn't provide it. You could fertilize once a month with dilute liquid fertilizer, such as a 5-10-5.

Enjoy your new shrubs!
