I just planted my Habiscus and the card said water thoroughly after planting. I did this and now my petals are dropping. Have I killed it?

No, watering thoroughly after transplanting won't kill your plant. What is happening is that your hibiscus is going through a little transplant stress. Until the roots become re-established in their new home, your plant will wilt and look unhappy. But it will perk up in about a week. It should be fine. If you can shade it from hot afternoon sunshine while it is making the adjustment, it won't look quite so puny. Soon it will perk up and look beautiful. Enjoy your hibiscus!
