Question: I have an arberviate shrub @12' tall in my backyard which is about the size of a football field. I now would like to add more shrubs and perennials to enhance that area. I live in the Northeast and have a log home. What would I plant to add year round color and different heights?

Answer: You can grow holly, pieris, rhododendrons, forsythia, taxus, privet, andromeda, barberry, pyracanthus and junipers in your landscape. They come in various sizes and bloom periods. Enjoy!
