I have a triangular patch in front of my house that is in the shade with diffused light. I need an economical, hardy plant that wont die with changing seasons. ANy suggestions? I don't care if it flowers or not. |
Groundcover choices for shade include Star Jasmine, Vinca (periwinkle) and Parthenocissus. Perennials to consider: Aconitum fischeri (Monkshood), Amsonia tabernaemontana (Willow amsonia), Anemonella thalictroides (Rue anemone), Convallaria majalis (Lily of the valley), Cornus canadensis (Bunchberry), Dodecatheon meadia (Shooting star), Ferns, Helleborus niger (Christmas rose), Hosta (Plantain lily), Lobelia cardinalis (Cardinal flower) and Polygonatum (Solomon's Seal). |
