I had some tulips planted in my pot, but now that they are dead, can I store away the seed to plant later? and whats the best way to do it ?

Once the leaves of the tulips die down you can remove the bulbs and store them for fall planting. They should be stored in a cool, dark place where there is good air circulation. I store mine in paper egg cartons on the garage floor. In the fall plant them in your garden.
