| All of the plants you list will grow in the desert without problem. They should be watered 2-3 times a week now that it's hot. New plants do take some time to adjust to growing in their new homes so I think you are seeing some transplant shock. About the only thing you can do to help them along is to be patient and keep watering on a regular basis. By this fall they should be well established and you can prune off the dead stems and leaves. October and November are better planting months than April or May so keep that in mind when you plant shrubs. The only other problem is that our soil is alkaline and most plants will appreciate a dose or two of iron sulphate in the spring and again in the fall. Hope this helps! |
