| You should deadhead your rose bushes all summer long by cutting off the spent roses plus some of the stem. When you cut off a faded rose, cut the stem down to a 5-leaflet leaf. This is where new flowering stems will be produced. You won't harm your plant by pruning. In fact, pruning encourages new growth and new flowers so keep your rose bushes well pruned and you'll have lots of flowers all summer long. Enjoy! |
