| The helicopters can contain viable seeds but not many of them will germinate and root. There's nothing you can spray to kill the new sprouts that won't harm your maple tree but you can try applying a pre emergent product such as Preen under your tree, which will keep seeds from germinating. Or, you can rake up the fallen seeds and remove them from the area. |
