| Recently, I bought a Lilac Tree. I planted it according to instructions, in the sun, using soil, organic peat humus and mulch on top. I made a dam around the tree and have been giving it a lot of sunshine and watering it every day. The tree was doing real well and was real healthy for a few weeks. But, now the leaves are curling up and slumping over and the tree looks like it is dying. What should I do? How do I bring it back to life? |
| It sounds like you're giving it great TLC, but maybe too much! You may have overwatered the shrub. It's best to base watering on how the soil feels - if it feels dry when you poke your fingers down an inch into the soil, or just under the mulch, you don't have to water. Leave it for a week without watering, and see how it responds. Let us know if it doesn't get any better!
