pruning bush? - Knowledgebase Question

my bush, scotchbroom, cytisus x lilac time has so far this spring just gotten leaves on the lower part of the bush the top 15 inches are completly bare should i trim it?

It sounds like winter dieback so I would prune it down to healthy growth. You can prune it all over to make it look a little more natural. Pruning usually encourages healthy new growth so you should see an improvement in a few weeks. Enjoy your garden!
