I have a small section of grass where the edges have dead spots.I removed the section of grass with the dead grass and replaced with top soil and new sod. However the same thing is happening again. I can just tell you that it is not lack of water. I water the area twice a day.Thank you.

Sounds very peculiar, doesn't it? New top soil and new sod should have fixed the problem - unless water collects in the area beneath the turf. Too much water can cause the browning you describe, and it will be even more likely if fertilizer moves with the water and collects beneath the roots of the turf. Other causes could be reflected heat and sunshine if the area in next to a sidewalk or driveway. Concrete sidewalks can leach lime and other chemicals, so that might be something else you might want to investigate. Wish I had more ideas!
