The Q&A Archives: PH levels

Question: I brought already grown vegs plants to start my veg garden. They have yellowed & not grown at all but I didn'toverwater them,Could it be a low soil PH? I have topsoil, pottingsoil & manure for soil.

Answer: While you can test your soil's pH I think the problem is more likely transplant stress. The soil sounds like the right balance for your veggies and as long as you water them deeply and then allow the soil to dry out slightly, the roots should be happy. You might want to feed them with a foliar spray (such as Miracle Gro) to give them a little boost. Good luck with your garden.
