The Q&A Archives: I have a lot of yarrow in my yard

Question: I don't know what kind it is. Is it possible to send a photo of just the leaves. Prior to bloom. Mine is a very fine firny looking plant.

Answer: There are 100 or so species of yarrows so I'm not sure we can identify it by a photo of the leaves. Flower colors might be an easier way to identify your plant. The most commonly grown are:
Apfelbluete: deep pink; Cerise Queen: pale cherry red; Fanal: bright red; Paprika: red-orange, fading as the flowers age; Red Beauty: pinkish red flowers with silver leaves. Hope this helps you identify your plants!
