| I recently bought 2 Boxwood shurbs at Home Depot. Color Spot I think. I planted them in ceramic pots. The question is shoud I have removed the gunny sacks around the roots? Thank You Roy |
| The burlap around the roots of your boxwood should be removed so the roots can grow naturally. Although the burlap can eventually rot if planted in the ground, in a container it probably won't. I would remove the burlap from around the roots and replant your boxwood so it can spread its roots. Be sure your container has adequate drainage holes in the bottom and when you replant your boxwood, plant it at the same soil depth as it was growing before (you should see a mark around the stem to indicate where the soil level was before).
