The Q&A Archives: columbine

Question: My columbines have all bloomed, if I dead head them will they bloom again? Thanks for your help

Answer: Deadheading - keeping the spent blossoms cut off - will encourage new flowers on your plants. I keep mine blooming for over two months by clipping off the spent flowers before they set seeds. Try this with yours and you should get lots of flowers for a long period of time. Enjoy!
