| Sweet 100 cherry tomato is a hybrid tomato variety and as you know, saving seeds from hybrids will not produce a tomato with the same characteristics as it's parent. This holds true for volunteer tomato plants that grew in the garden from last years tomato fruits. These seeds probably will produce a range of varieties, so you may get a Sweet 100 type cherry tomato, or you may get a total surprise. If you're willing to gamble a bit and let it grow, it might be a great variety. It all depends on your nature and how much you want this cherry tomato variety. If you really want Sweet 100's, buy the transplants at a garden center. |
