I had a planter with hostas in it last year. We drug it to the garage for the winter.Well, they survived and started growing. Well, instead of getting them into the ground early in the season - we waited until last weekend. The hostas are about 12

They are skinny because the light was poor - now that they are in the ground they should put out some healthy new leaves. Just leave them alone to get over their transplant stress. In a few weeks you will see healthy new growth from the center of the plant which will cover up those poor, puny first leaves. Good luck with your hostas!
