The Q&A Archives: daffodil bulbs

Question: I have many potted daffodils.the green has died back ,they are healthy hrd bulbs, can they be planted now? I know ideally its the fall

Answer: You can plant them in the garden bed now. Most daffodil bulbs are not available for planting until the fall but you can certainly plant yours now. Once they are in the ground they will naturalize over the years and you won't have to dig them again until they become overcrowded. Go ahead and plant them now. Best wishes with your garden.
