We cut down two cotton wood trees several years ago and have just started having plants (look like clumps mushrooms)coming up all around the stumps. Is there away of getting rid of these clusters. Thanks |
The mushrooms are growing because the tree stumps and roots are decomposing. Just brush or rake the mushrooms and dispose of them. New ones will probably appear each spring as long as the stumps and roots continue to decompose. There's really no way to stop them, short of grinding the stumps. I know they are unattractive, but the mushrooms are harmless. |
