The Q&A Archives: Bougainvillea

Question: Can you help, do all bougainvilleas have thorns. Thank you.

Answer: Bougainvillea arborea is the only bougainvillea that does not have thorns, but many of the newer cultivars are almost thornless so check the plant tags and you may have lots of choices for your garden. Best wishes with your new plants.
