I have a red Japanese Maple tree that has just begun to bloom. The tree looks great for about a month, then the leaves will curl up and the tree will turn brown. What is happeneing? The tree receives sunlight althrough the day and I use plant food. What am I doing wrong?

Some Japanese maples cannot tolerate afternoon sunshine and if they experience hot afternoon sun, the leaves will turn crispy brown and the colors will fade. I'd dig and move it to a place with morning sun and filtered afternoon shade. I think you'll see a big difference in its performance.
