Answer: A number of insects will eat holes in the leaves of your tomato plants but not all insecticides work against all pests so the best thing to do is inspect the plants several times a day to find out who is feeding on them. Look for small black beetles or green worms (the same color as the leaves). Once you find the pest you can choose to hand pick them, hose them off with plain water, or choose a vegetable garden safe insecticide such as Neem Oil.
