My yard has probably 1 snail per square inch and recently I got into my oak tree and found these little white snails all over this tree which is very healthy. I am wondering if these snails are causing any damage to my St. Augustine grass? Do I have anything to be concerned about? I live in the Dallas, TX zone. My St. Augustine has thinned but the trees are denser & bigger too.

Snails can feed on your turf but probably not harm your tree. However, you can use an iron based slug and snail bait to reduce the population of snails in your landscape. Sluggo is one brand name. Be sure to apply according to label directions. Best wishes with your landscape!
